I made a couple cards yesterday in between cleaning and organizing, so I have something to share today!  A fairly simple card (aren’t mine all?!) using Pebbles and Hero Arts goodies.

I’m playing along with the Flashback Friday 20.0 challenge for this month.

This card is 3.5 years old and was originally made for a CAS challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  Wow!  First of all, I can’t believe how dark the original picture is. Wow!  Crazy shadows and all.  At the time I didn’t really do CAS, so I guess it was a glimpse into the future, lol.

This weekend was mostly about organizing and cleaning our converted garage.  I’m hosting a Crafty Day in a couple of weeks so DH and I are have been working hard to make it nice for when my crafty friends are here.  DH has done the majority of the work and I’ve mostly been doing stuff in the kitchen, like rearranging stuff and putting up shelves.  All in all, it’s coming along nicely and we should be done in plenty of time.

In between cleaning and organizing I was able to put together a card to share today.  It came together pretty quick and love the combination of orange and turquoise.

So today is Thursday already and I can say this is one of the best weeks I’ve had in a while.  The creativity is flowing, my DH was on vacation 3 days this week so we spent some quality time together and I got good news regarding my unemployment benefits. All very good things!!

I have a fun but simple card to share with you today.  I originally made this without the clouds.  I showed my DH the finished card and he thought there was too much white space, even for me.  So I went back to my desk and added some clouds.  Now the card I liked is the card I love!  The patterned paper is from Echo Park (Springtime collection) and the sentiment is Mint Motif (What a Card!).

I did manage to sneak in some time for a card!  Since we are officially past V-Day, I thought I would share something non-lovey today.  Over the weekend I got some happy mail from Wplus9 Design Studio so I inked up the Folk Art Florals set and here is the result.

I made this card for a recent pub call and it didn’t get picked up so I’m sharing it with you today.  I love, love, love this card and how it turned out!

I used a few different shades of pink/red for the candy hearts and four different stamp sets to make this card.  (Hero Arts – conversation hearts; Practicing Creativity – clouds; Clearsnap – houndstooth; Mint Motif – sentiment).  I’m a total rainbow junkie so I’m always looking for ways to turn my stamps into rainbows!

I used last years valentine collection from Echo Park, Be Mine.  I think I didn’t get this paper until well after V-Day last year, maybe as late as last fall!  The heart punch was borrowed as was the button and twine.  The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life set, hearts2love.

So The Alley Way Stamps has a new challenge that just started up called BE Inspired.  I really love the color palette so I had to play along!  I used just a few of the colors in the inspiration picture to create my card (red, turquoise, linen and mustard yellow).  I used some October Afternoon patterned paper and Spellbinders Nestabilities in addition to the Priceless Joy stamp set to make this long and skinny card.  It’s hard to tell from the picture, but I waved out the sentiment banner so it looks like it’s blowing in the wind.
