~ Ladies in the Limelight ~

Are you excited? I’m excited! It feels like forever since Limelight has done a sketch/product challenge. Well wait no more – here it is! Today’s sketch is a fairly straight-forward design; it’s the product challenge that’s a little tricky: textured elements.

Today is the day to pull out all your Fun Flock, fuzzy dotted ribbon, and Core’dinations textured papers! If you don’t have any of these types of product, you can always use Stickles or a chunky glitter. Anything that will provide some texture on your project.

My card uses Fun Flock in 3 yummy flavors: Caramel Latte Tan, Chili Pepper Red and Cotton Ball White. I applied the Fun Flock using a Zig 2 Way Glue pen. I covered each section of the cupcake one at a time to get full coverage without blending the fibers. It dried very quickly and didn’t leave a sticky mess.

The cupcakes and sentiment comes from the super adorable set from Unity Stamp Co. called Cupcakes A’La Yummy. I used a scalloped border punch from Stampin’ Up to make the scalloped section going down the middle of the card. It reminds me of the white icing on a Hostess Cupcake which I thought was totally appropriate!

Now it’s your turn! We would LOVE it if you would play along this weekend so here is what you need to know:

~ Sketch and Product Challenge with a focus on textured elements
~ Uploads to SCS should have the keyword: LLPC012
~ Participants should post a comment and a link to their card on Mandy’s blog
~ All entries must be submitted by Sunday, January 11th, at midnight to win a 12×12 Core’dinations Chocolate Box paper pack!
