Six Chicks’ (+2 more) Easter Basket Eggstravaganza!

Every month Mandy over at Limelight Papercrafts challenges the Design Team to make a themed project. This month we were challenged to make an Easter Basket. It was so much fun to come up with something of my own instead of something you can buy at the store! Today is also another Unity Hip Hop Hangover so I’ve decided to combine the two into this one project. I hope you like it!

I started by creating a box using a 9×9 piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, scoring the card stock at 3 and 6 inches on both sides of the paper, cutting the flaps and taping up the sides. Then I used my Nestabilities Labels One dies to cut out my base in Baja Breeze and a smaller layer using designer paper from Basic Grey’s Euphoria 6×6 pad. I did this twice so I’d have a front and a back to my box. I then adhered the layers together and taped them to my little 3×3 box I made. I made a handle using a strip of Baja Breeze and adhered the handle to the box.

I used Unity’s Butterfly Beauty kit and adhered it to the top of my handle. The little white butterfly was made from a Martha Stewart punch. Pink Kaisercraft rhinestones on the butterfly finish off my project! I filled the box with pink Easter grass and Hershey’s chocolate eggs.

Just because I love you – I have a PRIZE to give away! Just leave me a comment on this post and I will pick someone randomly to win a package of Kaisercraft pearls in Mango flavor. Yummy!! I will draw a winner Sunday night (PST) so don’t forget to leave me a comment! DRAWING IS CLOSED!!

Also, with each and every order (regardless of amount) through Easter Sunday, Limelight will be sending out a plastic Easter egg filled with goodies! They could be filled with ribbon, stickers, Cat’s Eye ink pads, small stamps, buttons, Dew Drops, Shimmerz, and more! A few will have some “big prizes” written on slips of paper! There will be no rhyme or reason to which egg goes in an order. We’ll keep it as random as humanly possible!

Have a great weekend!
