Clean and Simple Challenge

Here is my card for this week’s CAS challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers. It’s an inspiration challenge (my favorite!) using the gorgeous bags and shoes and Anthopologie. Here is the inspiration for my card…

And here is my card…

In case anyone is interested in how to make the roses, here is a quick tutorial!

1. Cut a skinny strip (1 inch) wide and 11 inches long of pliable cardstock (Stampin’ Up and Prism work great, Papertrey Ink does not!)
2. Using a scallop border punch (I’ve used Stampin’ Up’s), punch your border along the 11 inch side, so you have one long strip of scallops.
3. Now you need to trim off the extra cardstock. You want your cardstock to be 11 inches long, but only 1/2 inch wide, so make your strip even skinner by cutting away the excess!
4. Next start at one end of your scalloped strip and start rolling it up, little by little. When you are done, secure it with redline/sticky strip adhesive and you’re done!
