Caardvarks Sketchfest Monday

After a lot of hemming and hawing, here is my entry for today’s sketch challenge over at Caardvarks.  I ended up hand writing the sentiment which was copied from a quote stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  The big journal stamp is from the September Store Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Company.  I purchased mine from Limelight Papercrafts (you can’t buy them directly from Unity…)

Clean and Simple – #33

This week’s Clean and Simple challenge on SplitcoastStampers is a sketch challenge based on THIS card by Charlene Driggs.  I took a little liberty with the sketch in making the long panel across the middle skinny and punched out some of the image panel to suite the design I was going for. Overall I love how it turned out although I wish the transition from the orange to the light orange dots was more noticeable.  The color scheme was inspired by the latest challenge from Embellish Magazine.

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics (Papertrey Ink); Butterflies and Blossoms (Little Paper Shop)
Paper: Papertrey Ink (cream); Stampin’ Up! (pumpkin pie)
Ink: Stampin’ Up! (bravo burgundy, pumpkin pie, more mustard)
Accessories: Kaisrecraft rhinestones (bronze); Nestabilities by Spellbinders (labels four)
