It’s Been A Long Time Coming

Wow!  I can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks since my sayonara post!  Overall life his been good over these last few weeks.

Over Memorial Day weekend I went to Palm Springs for a fun crafty event, Art-Full Horizons.  I signed up for it a couple months before I decided to take a break from crafting and didn’t want to lose out on the money I spent, so I went anyway and I’m so glad I did.  I had so much fun!!  I was lucky to take classes from some recognizable names in the biz.  I learned some fun techniques that I will definitely do again.  I also somehow managed not to take a single picture while I was there!  That is SO me!

My favorite class was one taught by Stephanie Ackerman.  It was sort of an intro to Mixed Media which is something I’ve always been intimidated by.  Not anymore!!

Here are three tags I made in Stephanie’s class.  I think what I liked about her class the most is that we learned the technique and we were able to apply it on our projects, rather than having a “kit” project where everyone’s looked exactly the same, just the like the example.  Nobody’s projects looked the same in this class!

Tonight the husband and I are going to my cousin’s high school graduation so I’m not sure that I’ll have time to play tonight, but expect to see stuff from me soon.  I’m itching to play again!  :)
