Hi There, Spring!

Happy Friday afternoon!  I’ve had a crazy productive crafty week so I’m a little sad we’re heading into the weekend already.  I hope my crafting streak continues through to next week.  That would rock!!  Most are for publication calls so nothing I can show, but I did make a simple spring card using Mint Motif/Lawn Fawn stamps and some Claudine Hellmuth chipboard.

Supplies used
Stamps: i {heart} papers Mint Motif (Beyond Borders); Lawn Fawn (Sophie’s Sentiments)
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (white, aqua mist)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin (fountain pen)
Accessories: chipboard (Claudine Hellmuth Sweet Treats)
Tools: Stampin Up modern label punch

Mint Motif: Lots of Love

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Today I start a new diet.  Not a diet as in to lose weight diet (although I need one of those too!).  I mean diet in the sense of a new way to eat.  I’ve been having problems with energy/sleepiness for months and I’m finally making it a priority to figure it all out.  I’m hoping I get some resolution soon, I really need it!

Okay, so enough about my health woes.  I’ve got a card to share!  I’m playing along with this week’s CAS-ual Fridays challenge, Name That Tune.  I’m a huge music fan and a lover of all things CAS, so this is the perfect challenge for me.

Since my hubby and I just celebrated our fifth anniversary, I’m still on a love kick, so I made a lovey card today.  I chose “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin as the inspiration for my card.  A classic song and a personal favorite of mine!  :)

Stamps: i {heart} papers Mint Motif (Beyond Borders, Too and Simply Sentiments)
Paper: Papertrey Ink (white)
Ink: Jenni Bowlin (cough syrup)

Ink: Jenni Bowlin (brown sugar); Stampin Up marker (chocolate chip); Papertrey Ink (white)

Mint Motif: Reveal Day!

Happy Monday, friends!  Today isn’t just Monday, it’s Mint Motif reveal day!!  You can purchase both stamp sets exclusively from i {heart} papers beginning today!

The first stamp set is a sequel to the popular Beyond Borders and is called Beyond Borders, Too.  This set features the super popular honeycomb and the timeless polka dot background builders along with two other fun backgrounds.  Each background stamp measures 5.5″ long so it easily covers an A2 shaped card.

The second stamp set is called Simply Sentiments and it’s anything BUT simple!  So many wonderfully thoughtful sentiments for a bunch of different occasions.  A truly AWESOME and versatile stamp set!!

My card uses a a couple of different background builder stamps from Beyond Borders, Too and a sentiment from Simply Sentiments.  To create a ‘pun’ny sentiment, I added an extra ‘e’ to the word ‘be’.  Sooo cute!!  I sneaked in the leaf from the Mint Motif set, School Basics for the bee wings, which were stamped on vellum.

Be sure to check out the rest of the reveals happening today by some of Mint Motif friends!  There will be more reveals happening through Wednesday, so be sure to check Kimberly’s blog every day for more inspiration!

Happy Friday, friends!  While some days I can lose track of time, Fridays I try to keep track of since it means only one more day of work for my hubby!  I’ve been busy the last couple of days sorting through our stuff as we’ve having a yard/garage/driveway sale on Saturday.  I still have a bit to go through, but I’m seeing progress that I hope turns into cash tomorrow morning!  :)

As I go to post this card, I realize that I haven’t created anything all week!  Ack!  This week really got away from me.  That being said, I do have a card to share…
