BE Inspired Challenge: Welcome Little One

There is a new stamp company in town!  The Alley Way Stamps has some really cute designs and when they came out with their first release, I picked up the set Priceless Joy. Can I just say how much I love the images in this stamp set!  LOVE!!

So The Alley Way Stamps has a new challenge that just started up called BE Inspired.  I really love the color palette so I had to play along!  I used just a few of the colors in the inspiration picture to create my card (red, turquoise, linen and mustard yellow).  I used some October Afternoon patterned paper and Spellbinders Nestabilities in addition to the Priceless Joy stamp set to make this long and skinny card.  It’s hard to tell from the picture, but I waved out the sentiment banner so it looks like it’s blowing in the wind.

Mint Motif: Merry & Bright

I think my favorite cards to make are Christmas cards.  Valentine’s Day is a close second, but I just love Christmas images so much, especially with a bright color combo!

My card uses three different Mint Motif stamp sets – all of which can be purchased from  i {heart} papersBeyond Borders, I’ve Got Your Number and Very Merry Sentiments.

Stamps: Mint Motif (Beyond Borders, I’ve Got Your Number, Very Merry Sentiments)
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (vintage cream, pure poppy, blueberry sky)
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon (Good Cheer collection)
Ink: Memento (tuxedo black)

Happy Easter!

Hello and Happy Easter!  I hope everyone is having a fun holiday weekend.  I had my craft show yesterday which was a total bust!  I made a whopping $6 after the entry fees, lol.  I did get to spend time with a friend of mine who also had a booth there, so that was nice.  I sold some cards but most things didn’t sell at all.  I know it didn’t help that the show was completely dead – no people!  I don’t know if there just wasn’t enough advertising or the fact that it was the day before Easter.  I will give it one more time before giving up on this particular place completely.

I made these treat toppers to sell with the clear bags.  All the buyer would have to do is fill with candy of their choice.  This was my sample.  I like that it’s simple but still cute (I think!)

I forgot to bring my camera to take a picture of the booth, but my Paper Crafts pennant banner looked so cute when it was hung up.  I have it decked out with polka dots, butterflies, and buttons.  Love it!  I will be sure to take pictures next month.

Limelight Sketch Challenge

Hello!  Today brings us another sketch and product challenge hosted by Limelight Papercrafts.  This week we are focusing on my very favorite embellishment… buttons!

I have always loved buttons, even as a small child.  My grandma used to sew and would keep her random buttons in an old-fashion tin.  When I was visiting my parents in November, my mom gave me my grandma’s tin of buttons. Silly as it may be, those buttons mean so much to me.  :)

For my card I used some fun striped paper from the Road Map 8×8 pad of patterned paper from October Afternoon and the coordinating die cut shapes.

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (kraft)
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon (Road Map collection)
Accessories: October Afternoon Road Map die cut shapes; Making Memories tiny alphabet stickers; Papertrey Ink vintage buttons; Papertrey Ink twine

Now it’s your turn! Here are all the details you need to play along:

You Make Me Happy

Here is a mini card I made during the week. I wanted something small and cute to slip into my hubby’s backpack for a little surprise while he’s at work. I don’t know if I’ve shared this before, but he’s a UPS delivery guy *wink* Unfortunately he doesn’t deliver our packages, but I wonder if there is a stamper on his route that can’t wait for him to show up with packages full of stamping goodies! :)

Ink: Memento by Tsukineko

Hello and welcome to another week of the Limelight sketch and product challenge. This week we are focusing on all things PAINT! Really use your imagination for this one – craft paint, Shimmerz, Glimmer Mist, paint chips… lots of options for this one.

I love Shimmerz paint so this was an easy decision for me! :) After deciding on what I was doing for my card, I decided to use some Pink Shimmerz. Here you can see a close up of my card in all it’s shimmery goodness!

Wednesday: Hump Day!

Hola! I have another quick card to show for tonight. The layout comes from a recent CAS challenge from maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago?

I originally had it with a butterfly and a sentiment on the bottom corner but it looked too crowded so I took them off. So here is my final version. I often send our rent check out in a simple notecard, so this will be perfect for that!

The small flower stamp is from My Cute Stamps. They totally live up to their name! The designer paper is from October Afternoon and the ribbon is from May Arts.

(Clicking on the pic makes it bigger) Thanks for looking! :)
ETA: I almost forgot to mention, tomorrow is our big reveal at Limelight Papercrafts of our Back-to-School themed projects. Be sure to visit all the design team members tomorrow as the projects are FAB-ulous!!
