Birthday Wishes

Happy Hump Day aka Wednesday!!  I hope you are having a great week thus far!  I have been keeping myself busy with designing projects for some classes I’m teaching in March. They will be my first ever and I’m really excited about them!  I will share my projects with you once I’m all done with my samples.  Eeek!!

I made a couple cards yesterday in between cleaning and organizing, so I have something to share today!  A fairly simple card (aren’t mine all?!) using Pebbles and Hero Arts goodies.

Supplies used:

Happy Holiday Tree

I have a step-son that we typically get every other weekend.  We don’t ever get him for the big holidays, so for things like Christmas, we usually wait a week or so after the holiday before we celebrate at our house.  I think we are still waiting to hear if he is coming over this weekend or not, so for now Christmas at our house is on hold.  The reason I’m mentioning this, is maybe you will forgive me for today’s Christmas card and the more to come…  I know a lot (most?) people are moving on, but not me.  Not yet!

Supplies used:

Welcome Frame

So I decided to take the plunge and try out for the Pebbles design team.  I made this fun frame for the call – it will look so cute in my front entryway!  The papers/embellishments are all from the Happy Go Lucky line and I used some Claudine Hellmuth paint for the frame.  I love how this turned out!

A Scrap Card

I’m trying to do better in using scraps that I have accumulated.  I started by going through them and getting rid of the older scraps that I really didn’t *want* to play with before diving in.  This card is a bit busy but I think I like how it turned out.  It’s a bit darker than I’m used to as well, but I think it’s okay to go outside the norm sometimes!  I used a bunch of Pebbles stuff along with some Divine Twine from my Etsy shop and a Clear & Simple Stamps sentiment.

Stamps: Clear & Simple Stamps (Thinking of You – limited edition)
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (white, dark chocolate)
Patterned Paper: Pebbles (Happy Go Lucky collection, Floral Lane collection)
Ink: Memento (rich cocoa)
Accessories: Divine Twine bakers twine; Kaisercraft adhesive pearls; Pebbles chipboard; Spellbinders die (heart)
Tools: Stampin Up tab punch; Martha Stewart butterfly punch; EK Success corner rounder

A Parker the Kitty Page

Yesterday I went to a 12 hour crop and actually made a scrapbook layout.  I’ve been wanting to start up scrapbooking on a regular basis for a while now and Amy’s challenge was just the motivation I needed to get the ball rolling!  I only really finished this one layout.  My second one was a hot mess so I trashed it!  I re-printed the picture and will try again this afternoon.

This is a layout of my sweet Parker girl when she was an itty bitty kitty!  Love that little face peeking out of the empty soda box!  It’s she the cutest thing ever?

Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Just the Ticket)
