I Love Snow…I Mean, You

The night of Christmas Eve I sat down to specifically make a Christmas card to share on my blog for Christmas day.  This is the card I made.  Which didn’t really work as it’s not a Christmas card at all!  The Snow Days collection from Pink Paislee makes a perfect Valentine’s Day card.  I used my sewing machine to stitch a black line through “snow” and used stamps to turn it into “you”.

I photographed this at a weird angle.  It’s pretty straight on which I really dislike but I’ve got to get busy in the kitchen, so no time for a re-shoot!

Supplies used:

Matryoshka Thanks

My first purchase after not having any for a while – Paper Smooches stamps!  I saw this set on their blog  – so cute – I had to have it!  Right now I’m really loving the color combo of red, yellow and turquoise, so that is what I did here.

Stamps: Paper Smooches (Folkal Points)
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (white, kraft); Stampin Up (poppy parade)
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee (365 Degrees collection)
Ink: Memento (tuxedo black)
Accessories: May Arts ribbon; Stampin Up scalloped border punch; Papertrey Ink jute twine; button

Bow-Easy is my new BFF

I know I have complained in the past of not being able to tie a bow.  It’s not that I’m unable to.  I’m just not able to consistently.  Like maybe 1 out of 20 bows turns out the way I want it to.

While I was making this card last night and wasting my nice satin ribbon with mistake after mistake, I remembered I had purchased a Bow-Easy a year ago but never bothered to learn how to use it.  Enter YouTube.  A quick 3 minute video and now I’m a bow making fool!

Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Fillable Frames #2)
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (rustic cream)
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee (Sweetness collection)
Ink: Memento (rich cocoa); Papertrey Ink (chai vintage)
Accessories: Papertrey Ink (ribbon, twine, die); Jenni Bowlin (button); Kaisercraft (pearls)

Happy Sunday!

I’ve noticed the time spent on crafting has gone down quite a bit since we got Parker and Posey.  When I am at my computer/craft desk (which is a lot!), they want to be there too. They don’t play much on my desk but they love to snuggle up to me and take naps there, which makes it hard to really do anything.  Got to love them!

Here is a quick card I made a couple weeks ago with the intention of joining in the Caffeinated Cropper blog hop that was a couple weeks ago but I never quite made it to join the hop.  I think I’ve decided I like the card better without the button covering the “O”.

Winter Wonderland

Here’s a card done for today’s Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS. I chose this card to CASE. I used paper and rub ons from Pink Paislee’s Tinsel Town line – I love this stuff!! I thought I would try to squeeze in a couple more winter cards before the holiday season is totally over!

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Tinsel Town (Pink Paislee) dp
Tinsel Town (Pink Paislee) rub ons, MS snowflake punch, pink rhinestones, scallop circle punch
