Featured Stamper Challenge

I actually played along with the Featured Stamper challenge over on Splitcoast.  It feels like forever since I’ve participated in this challenge. The FS for this week, Wendybell, has an awesome gallery!

I chose this altered notebook to CASE. I changed it up a bit with some bright paper from K & Company. I used a chipboard letter in place of a Cricut-cut letter. I used ribbon but tied it to the coils. I’m not a big fan of primas so I left them off.

Etsy Inspired Challenge ~ Week 9

Here we are, time again for this week’s Etsy Inspired Challenge, now at week 9! Our featured Etsy shop this week comes to us from Pretty Girl Things. She specializes in unique pendants and urban/vintage jewelry pieces.

For my inspiration I chose this pink and blue bird necklace. I focused on the colors and the two birds and tried to come up with something more shabby chic rather than clean and simple.

The teacups are made from a snow globe stamp turned upside-down and I drew the handles. The polka dot dp comes from a Making Memories designer paper pack I picked up at my LSS. All stamps are by Odd Bird Planet.

Now here comes the fun part! If you want to win a lovely prize from the Pretty Girl Things esty shop all you need to do is participate in the Etsy Inspired Challenge using something from the Pretty Girl Things store as your inspiration. Once you’ve made your card/project, post a link to your creation on ASHLEY’S blog for a chance to win!

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team’s creations as they are ALWAYS incredible!

Stamps: plain perch snowglobe cakestand, polka dots, tea for 2, open dotted tail, lacy border, owl (OBP)

Please Don’t Laugh!

Good morning and happy Friday!  I made this card last night from my new Odd Bird Planet stamps I won from WCMD last month! I love how you are able to take just a few OBP stamps and create your own scene. I had this scene in my mind when I saw the “My Life is a Circus” sentiment and was able to make it work. Now I *cannot* draw to save my life, so be kind on my curtains. After 3 previous and failed attempts, this is what I came up with. They were hard to draw and try to look even! LOL

Stamps: Life is a Circus, Three Balls, Lacy Border, Madricaine Owl (OBP)
Paper: PTI white, Real Red
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: n/a
Technique: sponging, drawing

Six Chicks’ Ornament Spectacular

Good morning and Happy Thursday! Today I bring you a project I’ve been working on the last couple of weeks featuring some of my favorite holiday products right now. Every month the Lightlight Papercrafts Six Chicks will get together and post a project featuring a similar theme. This month was to create a Christmas ornament and either a matching card or packaging.

I’m so happy I get to finally share my Christmas ornament and matching box with you! While surfing the internet looking for ideas on what to make, I found an awesome tutorial on how to make ornaments using glitter and re-inkers. Very easy too! Instead of trying to re-create the tutorial, you can find a link to the one I followed HERE. (Tutorial by Amy Rysavy)

The box is a template found on Papertrey Ink. I simply printed the template onto Garden Green cardstock and followed the cut/score lines. It was very easy! You can find the box HERE.

Here is the box by itself

And the ornament by itself. I love how sparkly it is!  I definitely recommend using fine glitter, like Stampendous!
Be sure to check out the rest of the Limelight Papercrafts design team for some gorgeous holiday ornaments!

Tonight

So I just woke up from taking a 2 hour nap and I’m still tired! I almost wonder if I’m getting sick or something. I sure hope not! When I got home from the Madonna concert last night I had a big box from Odd Bird Planet waiting for me. I won a $100 store credit at Odd Bird Planet from World Card Making day and did some shopping last week and the goodies are now in my hands! I’m going to see if I can pull something together tonight but I’m not holding my breath.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow, I’ve got something fun to show you that I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks featuring lots of Limelight Papercrafts goodness! Until then… *hugs*

Oh! How can I forget! Limelight now has SHIMMERZ in stock! How completely awesome is that! If you haven’t seen what all the fuss is about, run don’t walk to Limelight and check it out!!

Another Quickie

It’s almost 1am. I just got home from seeing Madonna! I’m exhausted so no cards from me tonight. I’ll see what I can come up with tomorrow. Good night!! *yawn*

ETA: I think I figured out how to have comments posting again (thank you Jami!!)
