I made a card this morning following the colors over at the The Play Date Cafe. This was a tough color combo for me. Mostly because I had a hard time finding things in my stash that were these colors. The plum color was easy enough but the mustard and ruby red colors were a bit tougher. After 3 versions of this card, here is the final, stripped down version. I finally had to put all the stuff I had found away and just went with inks in the right colors. Once I did that, the card made itself!
Stamps: Papertrey Ink (All About You) Cardstock: Papertrey Ink (white) Ink: Stampin Up (more mustard, ruby red, pale plum); Copic marker (V15) Accessories: Papertrey Ink (grosgrain ribbon); Kaisercraft rhinestones; Spellbinders Nestabilities die (labels nine)
Great to hear about your process, I think I need to do that too to make great cards like this.

So pretty, clean and crisp. I went through an early card too. Everything is on it! My second card was much more toned down to “cute”.

So pretty, clean and crisp. My first card had everything that I could find with colors. It’s a good thing my sink was not the right color.

Hi Ryann, I love how you stripped down the card to a Clean and Simple design, with those rows of flowers in our challenge colors! THat was a perfect choice. When I have trouble with color combos (which can be often), I ALWAYS go CAS. THanks for playing with us at the Play Date Cafe this week!
